Improvisor’s Mindset

Session Description: The fundamental skills of improvisation—listening, spontaneity, empathy, and presence—are also essential for successful recovery and meaningful human connection. In this engaging and supportive session, participants will actively practice these skills in a safe and enjoyable environment while exploring their application in personal growth and patient care.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate active listening, public speaking, spontaneity, empathy, acceptance, awareness, presence, vulnerability, and confidence related to successful recovery.
  • Apply improvisation techniques to enhance communication and rapport-building with patients in a healthcare or caregiving setting.
  • Recognize the role of emotional intelligence in fostering trust and connection in personal and patient interactions.
