Iowa’s Annual Governor’s Conference on Substance Use

The Governor’s Conference on Substance Use has a new name; we are now the Governor’s Conference on Behavioral Health! We’re thrilled to celebrate this change and even more excited to welcome you back for our 49th year of connection, learning, and progress.

Conference Mission

The Governor’s Conference on Behavioral Health is an annual event that will be held virtually. April 21st is a preconference and will provide three hours of training on ethics. April 22-23rd will offer up to 12 hours of continuing education.

The purpose of the event is to enhance the knowledge of the behavioral health workforce in addition to developing strength within other system disciplines that connect with behavioral health. The aim is to educate the individual but also to create connection and collaboration between system partners in an effort to enhance a coordinated response to behavioral health.
