Ethics in a Post Pandemic Society
Session Description: Tom will provide an overview of ethical issues in human services, with a focus on frequently encountered situations faced by human service professionals using examples from the field. A discussion of new and emerging ethical issues in a post pandemic society will take place along with resources to assist human service professionals in dealing with these situations.
Learning Objectives:
- Increase participants awareness of new and emerging ethical issues in a post pandemic society
- Provide participants with resources to make ethical decisions when faced with these situations

Tom has been with the Black Hawk Grundy Mental Health Center since 1988, serving as its Director since 1993. In 2017, the Mental Health Center became an affiliate of Allen Health Systems, UnityPoint Health. In addition to his administrative duties, he provides clinical services. He has provided ethics workshops for over 20 years.
