Jacob Shkolnick has been involved with healthcare privacy matters for nearly 12 years. Since graduating from Drake Law School in 2013, he has served in Compliance and Privacy roles first for UnityPoint Health, and as of 2023 serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer and legal counsel for Iowa HHS. In this role, Jacob oversees HIPAA compliance for Iowa Medicaid and other HIPAA covered programs, and provides legal guidance on confidentiality matters for all of HHS’s sensitive data sets.
