This session introduces the Sequential Intercept Model (SIM), a proven, PRA-developed framework for advancing behavioral health system reform by identifying service gaps, strengthening cross-system collaboration, and centering the whole person. Drawing on Iowa-basedexamples, participants will learn how SIM translates complex behavioral health system challenges into actionable, community-driven solutions.

Learning objectives:
Participants will:

1. Differentiate between the intercepts in the SIM, including the pathways and key components;
2. Identify at least two service gaps or system breakdowns in their own community that could be addressed through a SIM Mapping workshop;
3. Define their role within a SIM mapping process, including at least one concrete contribution they can make to support cross-system collaboration.
