UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ORAL & POSTER PRESENTATIONS – Submit an Abstract!

IINSPIRE research interns and members are invited to give an oral presentation and/or present a research or experiential poster. The poster session is also open to other students as well. Oral and poster submissions will be peer-reviewed and accepted for presentation based on merit and availability of space. Students who wish to present must submit an abstract detailing the content of their presentation. Follow the link below for more information and to submit an abstract.

Awards

AWARD NOMINATIONS 

IINSPIRE Alliance is seeking nominations for awards in three categories: outstanding service, outstanding alumni, and excellence in mentoring. One faculty or staff member and one student will be recognized for their contributions in mentoring. Follow the link below for more information.

Nominations are open through January 23^rd, 2026.

The IINSPIRE Alliance Recognition Awards Program selects deserving individuals from the IINSPIRE Alliance community for recognition in several categories.

STUDENT PRESENTATION AWARDS

Awards will be given for the top three posters, as evaluated by a panel of judges. In addition, a “favorite poster” award will be announced based on votes by conference attendees. Awards will also be given for the top oral presentations by students.

AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN MENTORING

Mentoring is of primary importance within the Alliance, and can be recognized at any level where it occurs. Eligible mentors include those who are actively involved with IINSPIRE students and assist students in setting and achieving their own academic, personal and professional goals, and through this work contribute significantly to achievement of IINSPIRE program goals. Any individual or organization affiliated with the IINSPIRE Alliance may be nominated for this award.

AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ALUMNI

We have many IINSPIRE Alliance students graduating, entering into careers, and doing interesting and amazing work. We want to keep in touch with all of our alumni and share and recognize their accomplishments.

STOKES AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE IINSPIRE ALLIANCE

Individuals, teams and organizations associated with the IINSPIRE Alliance are eligible for this award. The sole criterion is service at an exemplary level, in pursuit of the alliance’s goal to support students in STEM fields.
