IOWA INFECTION PREVENTION CONFERENCE 2024

Conference Mission
The last few years have demonstrated the importance of a strong infection prevention and control program.  This conference aims to support infection preventionists by focusing on trending topics, evidence-based best practices, resources for infection preventionists, and the advancement of the infection prevention profession.

Intended Audience
This program will be of particular interest to infection preventionists, providers, nurses, and allied health professionals involved with issues and concerns relative to infection prevention.

Conference Objectives
After completing the conference attendees will:

  • Demonstrate increased knowledge related to maintaining a compliant and effective infection prevention and control program in the healthcare setting
  • Describe examples of infection prevention and control evidence-based best practices and recommendations
  • Discuss the infection preventionist’s role in establishing and maintaining the healthcare environment of care

Contact hours have been approved from Iowa Board of Nursing provider #94. Tuesday, May 7 is awarded 6.1 hours and Wednesday, May 8 is also awarded 6.1 hours.  Participants must attend all sessions each day in order to be awarded nursing contact hours for that day.  No partial contact hours will be awarded.
