A group block has been set up at the Prairie Meadows Hotel located at 1 Prairie Meadows Dr. The Prairie Meadows Hotel is connected to The Meadows Events & Conference Center and is just minutes away from downtown Des Moines at Interstate 80 exit 142 in Altoona, IA. The hotel includes a pool, fitness center, business center, hotel lounge, complimentary parking, restaurant, café, and casino. Free parking is also available onsite and includes accessible parking and Super Hero parking. Superhero parking is available for active and reserved duty military, veterans, EMS personnel, law enforcement, and firefighters.
The hotel block is good from September 7- 9, 2022. The special room rate of $128 per night plus tax will be available until Saturday, August 6, 2022, or until the group block is sold out, whichever comes first. A combination of one king bedroom and two queen bedrooms is available in the block. Rooms can be booked by calling the hotel directly at (515) 957-3000 or by using the online booking link here.
Attendees utilizing the link will need to enter the group code and password to select your rooms. The Group Code is TRAUMA092022 and the password is 863000112.

Change in plans?
If you can no longer attend the conference, you may request a refund of your registration fee. If you cancel prior to August 15, 2022, your registration costs will be refunded less a $20 processing fee. If you cancel after August 15, 2022, you will not be guaranteed any refund, therefore after August 15, 2022 we recommend finding a substitute to attend in your place. Substitutions may be made through August 30, 2022. You must contact registrations@iastate.edu for any cancellations or substitution requests.
Dining
A boxed lunch will be provided for participants registered in the Rural Topic and ATLS Refresher courses during the pre-conference training day. All other participants may elect to order a boxed lunch for an additional fee. Prairie Meadows also offers a variety of on-site dining options you can find below.
