The National Association of Plant Breeders 2022 Annual Meeting will be held at the Scheman Building on the Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa. Centrally located, Ames is easily accessed by US Highway 30 and Interstate 35.

Centrally located, Ames is easily accessed by U.S. Highways 30 and 69, as well as I-35.The Scheman Building is located in the Iowa State Center on the Iowa State University campus. From I-35 take U.S. Highway 30 west to University Boulevard and north past Jack Trice Stadium. The Scheman Building is located between Hilton Coliseum and Stephens Auditorium.

Flying?
Ames is serviced by the Des Moines International Airport, and is a quick 40 minute drive from the airport. The conference will organize airport and local shuttles, and you can register for these services as part of the registration process.

Airport Shuttles:
We look forward to your participation in the conference. To assist your travel needs, we will be offering airport shuttles to and from conference locations.

Registration for airport shuttles are closed at this time. If you have booked a shuttle, you will receive directions directly to your email before your arrival.

 

Parking
Free parking is available surrounding the Scheman Building.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Gateway Hotel & Conference Center will be the official conference headquarters for the conference. The Gateway Hotel & Conference Center features free parking, heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, fitness facility, business center with workstations, and the onsite restaurant and bar, the IowaStater.

You can reserve a room online or call the hotel directly at 515-292-8600. Rooms are at the special rate of $139 per night plus tax (currently 12%). The special block of rooms will be available until July 8, 2022 or until the block is full.
