Assessing the effects of a large cattle feedlot on the water quality of Bloody Run Creek, a cold-water trout stream in northeast Iowa

Description: Samples were collected from the Bloody Run Creek watershed from 2021 to 2024 to assess the potential effects of a large cattle feedlot. Samples were analyzed for a variety of constituents associated with cattle production, including bacteria, antibiotic resistant bacteria, antibiotics, hormonally active chemicals, total estrogenicity, glyphosate, and aminomethylphosphonic acid.
