A prototype of the new Iowa Flood Center hydrologic modeling system
Description: The Iowa Flood Center’s new modeling system predicts statewide floods by tracking how water moves through a very detailed landscape decomposition. Using high-powered graphics cards, it runs faster and more detailed simulations. This allows experts to model water quantity and quality at various weather scenarios, giving communities vital early warnings before floods occur.
