Angie Ellerbroek
Angie Ellerbroek RN, BSN, CWON is currently the Infection Preventionist and Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly where she has worked for just over one year in long term care. Prior to this position, she worked at MercyOne Northeast as a Wound/Ostomy nurse for 9 years. In this new role as IP in LTC last year, she jumped into reviewing and updating many policies as well as initiated new wound care protocols for Bartels. Being newer to LTC, Angie is not afraid to ask, “Why do we do it that way?” and then works to get policies and protocols updated to follow best practices. She and her husband are recent empty nesters and have three kids in college, allowing more opportunities for music concerts/festivals! Angie is in her third year as a volunteer youth mentor for All In Mentoring and also wishes she was scuba diving right now.
