Session Description: This presentation will explore substances of increasing concern in toxicology, examine the latest trends and emerging data, and identify key resources that can aid in the management of poisoned individuals.

Dr. Joshua Trebach is a medical toxicologist and emergency physician at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC). He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UIHC and is the Associate Medical Director at the Iowa Poison Control Center. Dr. Trebach received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Trebach completed his medical toxicology fellowship training at New York University/New York City Poison Control Center. Dr. Trebach’s interests include medical education, public health, clinical research, disaster preparedness, plants/mushrooms, and all things toxicology!
