Introduction to the Iowa State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (IASUDORS)

Kiara Stutts has served in public health since 2018. She has served in areas such as Enterics, HIV/STI, COVID-19, Surveillance/Health Informatics, Mental Health and Substance Use. Kiara has earned her undergraduate degree in Human Services Administration in 2015 and her Master of Public Health with a concentration of Epidemiology and Health Management & Policy in 2020. Kiara currently serves as the Overdose Data to Action Epidemiologist with the CDC Foundation and was assigned to serve with Iowa HHS in the work of overdose prevention through the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) Grant by assisting with surveillance and prevention strategies.

 

Introduction to the Iowa State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (IASUDORS)

This presentation will provide an introduction to the Iowa State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (IASUDORS) and how it can be used for overdose prevention and response efforts in Iowa.

At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Develop an understanding of the Iowa State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (IASUDORS).
  • Gain awareness of the current mortality profile in IASUDORS data.
  • Identify one way to use IASUDORS for overdose prevention and response efforts in Iowa.
