Using Data to Drive Your Facility’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Efforts

Kelsey Fitch is originally from Fairfield, Iowa and began her healthcare career at the age of 18 working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. After graduating from Nursing school as a Registered Nurse. Kelsey worked in the acute care setting with Medical/Surgical/Telemetry patients. Kelsey then transitioned to the Long-term Care setting serving as an Assistant Director and then Director of Nursing. In 2021 Kelsey transitioned to a clinical consultant role as Director of Infection Prevention and Staff Development with a Long-term Care Management Company. Kelsey has a passion for achieving excellence in quality of care and treatment and a love for teaching and mentoring long term care leaders within the facilities.

Session Description
This session will increase understanding by all members of the clinical team who drive antimicrobial stewardship in the longterm care setting. Learners will have an increased understanding of regulatory compliance as it relates to longterm care requirements of antibiotic stewardship requirements.
