Katie Rumsey

Dr. Katie Rumsey, DVM, MPH, DACVPM is currently an assistant state veterinarian with the Iowa Department of Agriculture. She is a 2005 graduate of Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Iowa in 2019. She is a diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. She spent 14 years in private practice before joining the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship in 2019.

Session Description
This session will increase awareness of antimicrobial stewardship amongst small animal veterinarians. By the end of the panel, attendees will be able to create an antimicrobial stewardship program for their veterinary hospital.
