Sunday Meals

Welcome to the 2023 AM/PIC! Registration should be at the top of your list, in the west entry to the Iowa Event Center (IEC). Be sure to check your name tag for all your meal tickets to ensure you received them. If you have special dietary needs, be sure you have tickets indicating that, and also remember to inform the wait staff of your needs prior to being served. We will require tickets for all meal events. If you need to do some trading, check with Scott at the registration desk. Then head on down to the Exhibit

Clean empty white plate with knife and fork, by sergign.

Hall on Level 2 to view the trade show exhibits, posters, grab a snack while you visit with old friends, and join us for the Welcome to Iowa Dinner, which starts at 4:30 pm and will be served until 6:30 pm. Dinner features airline chicken breast, pork loin with apple chutney, garden salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and cheddar cheese, white cheddar and scallion, fresh Iowa sweet corn, Au Gratin potatoes, and assorted fruit pies for dessert. Dinner is courtesy of the Iowa Corn Growers Association and the Iowa Soybean Association. We will also have a ‘cashless’ cash bar available for your social pleasure.

The past officers and board members luncheon will be in IEC room 302-303-304 featuring a grilled chicken breast topped with tomato, mozzarella, basil and balsamic glaze, parmesan orzo pasta, green beans, garden salad and caramel apple pie or turtle brownie desserts.

Annie’s Project will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with a reception in Iowa Event Center rooms 302-303-304 from 3:00-4:00 pm for anyone who is interested. They will have veggies, chips, dips, and drinks along with a short program and networking. Stop by to visit with some of the many staff who have hosted Annie’s Projects in the past.

Following the Opening Session we can all scream for ice cream in the prefunction area on level 4 of the Iowa Event Center. We are featuring six flavors of ice cream made by the Iowa State University Creamery courtesy of Catch Des Moines. We have ordered Two Swans (vanilla), 1858 (dark chocolate), Campanile Kiss (egg-free strawberry with strawberry swirls), Cardinal Tracks (chocolate with chocolate-covered raspberry and fudge swirls), Marston Mash (salted caramel with brownie bits and fudge swirls), and Slizewski Swirl (dark chocolate vegan frozen dessert with cherry swirls). If you are wondering about some of the flavor names, ask one of the ISU staff for an explanation or check out their webpage. Hopefully this will leave you screaming for more!

Voting delegates should plan to rise and shine early on Monday morning for breakfast at 6:45 AM in IEC room 107-108. The menu includes fluffy scrambled eggs topped with sharp cheddar cheese and scallions, crisp bacon, hashbrowns, juice and pastries. The Bayer Crop Science Educational Breakfast at 6:30 AM in IEC room 105-106 will serve the same menu.

If you informed us of any special dietary restrictions through registration, you should have a small green card in your registration packet. Show this card to the wait staff during each meal and they can get you what you need.
